Avionics

  • The instrument panel was upgraded by installation of a 310-R model Center Stack type instrument panel, glare shield, control wheels, torque tubes and a "Y" yoke to allow the installation of the following.
  • Custom powder coated and engraved pilots and co-pilots instrument panels.
  • Pilot panel fitted with new or overhauled flight instruments inc. G Meter.
  • Co-Pilot panel fitted with overhauled engine instruments, altimeter, airspeed indictor and Turn Coordinator.
  • The Avionics Center Stack was fitted with the following.
  • King KA 134 Audio Panel with Marker Beacon.
  • King KY 97 Digital Com.
  • King KNS 80 Area Navigation System.
  • Sigma Tek 1U445 HSI # 1 Nav.

  • Wiring harness for Avionics and Autopilot built and installed by Redding Aerotronics.

 

Airframe

  • The Airframe underwent an extensive restoration to show standards from 1994 to 1998 inc. the following.
  • Complete exterior paint stripping and inspection.
  • Landing gear was  removed and restored to like new with new bearings, seals, hardware and rod ends. The gear parts were all either painted, polished, plated or powder coated prior to reassembly and installation in freshly painted gear wells.
  • Fuel bladders and boost pumps were removed  for overhaul and installed with new seals and hoses .
  • Brake cylinders and calipers were disassembled, inspected, resealed and installed with new hoses and hardware.
  • Side windows were replaced with new, windshield was removed, cleaned and installed.

Engines

  • The left and right engines were Overhauled to Superior Airparts Inc. Mellinnium Edition standards by Eagle Engines Redding CA in Sept. 2004 and installed in the airframe by Hillside Aviation with new Lord Mounts and hardware.

Prop

  • Hartzell HC-82-VF-2B TSOH 8.1

Interior

  • The Aircraft interior was completely reupholstered in 1998 By "Herby of California" with the finest Leather and upholstery materials including side panels, carpet and headliner. Interior plastic was refurbished and painted to match.

Exterior

  • The exterior was painted in Navy U3A color scheme and all control surfaces were reinstalled with new bearings, rod ends and hardware. The paint used is PPG Acylic Urethane 3 stage Base Coat, Color Coat and Clear Coat that was color sanded and polished to high gloss.

  • Cabin heater was removed for overhaul by Aircraft Heating and reinstalled with new hardware heating ducts and fuel hoses.

Modifications

  • Oxygen system upgraded with Aerox 33 cubic ft bottle. 
  • Alternator conversion kits installed on both engines in 2011
  • MicroSystems Vortex Generators VG's installed.

Remarks

  • Auunal inspection was last completed January 2013
  • Pitot Static and Transponder certs were last completed January 2013
  • This Aircraft has been maintained to high standards with no expense spared since the restoration and has always been hangared .
